Upgrade your MA600 calibration setup

The Autel MA800UPG is designed as an upgrade for MA600 owners. Your MA600 targets and calibrators still have a job to do. The MA800UPG lets you retain those compatible accessories and your ADAS-enabled MaxiSYS tablet while updating the frame and positioning equipment around them. It is a practical upgrade when your current coverage meets your needs but manual frame placement takes more technician effort than you want.

Check positioning before committing to the procedure

A record of setup measurements gives your team something concrete to review when preparing a calibration. The MA800 checks those measurements against the vehicle’s specified tolerances, helping you identify a positioning issue before proceeding. This validation supports the setup process; the technician still completes the required OEM calibration procedure.

Plan around the equipment you have

This purchase supplies the frame and laser positioning components. Confirm your tablet compatibility and ADAS activation before ordering. If your compatible tablet needs activation, purchase the ADAS upgrade card separately. Triad can help you check that the upgrade matches your current equipment and the work you intend to keep in-house.

  • Retains compatible MA600 targets and calibrators, allowing existing owners to update the frame while keeping those accessories in service.
  • Uses lasers to locate the vehicle centerline and place the frame and targets, replacing mechanical positioning without plumb bobs or floor markings.
  • Provides separate pitch, roll, and yaw controls for precise adjustment of frame orientation.
  • Sends laser measurements over Bluetooth to a compatible MaxiSYS tablet, where target height, target distance, and vehicle-to-frame distance are checked against OEM tolerances and recorded.
  • Separates into four manageable frame sections for storage and transport, with tool-free assembly and approximately 60-second breakdown.
  • Holds one compatible tablet at the frame so technicians can access the setup instructions and calibration software.
  • Requires existing ADAS activation or a separately purchased upgrade card on a compatible tablet; targets and tablet are not supplied.
  • System Type: Mobile ADAS calibration frame
  • Positioning: Laser-guided vehicle centerline and target positioning
  • Frame Design: Four-piece modular, tool-free assembly

Vehicle coverage

The MA800 platform supports more than 95% of domestic, Asian, and European ADAS-equipped vehicles with the appropriate tablet software, targets, and calibrators. This platform-level coverage does not mean every included package covers every vehicle or ADAS system. Confirm the exact year, make, model, sensor system, and required target before purchase.

Where it fits your shop

  • MA600 owners upgrading frame positioning and setup validation
  • Shops moving calibration equipment between bays or service locations

Follow the vehicle-specific OEM procedure, including workspace and vehicle preparation requirements. A mobile frame still needs a suitable calibration environment.

  1. What is included with the MA800UPG?
The MA800UPG includes the mobile frame and laser positioning equipment listed in What’s Included. It does not include targets, calibrators, a tablet, or an ADAS software upgrade card.
  2. Do I need an ADAS-enabled tablet?
Yes. Use a compatible MaxiSYS tablet with ADAS calibration software enabled. If your compatible tablet is not enabled, an ADAS software upgrade card is required and sold separately.
  3. Can I reuse my MA600 targets and calibrators?
Yes. The MA800UPG is compatible with existing MA600 targets and calibrators, allowing you to upgrade the frame while retaining those accessories.
  4. How does the MA800 verify calibration setup?
Bluetooth-connected laser measurements are sent to a compatible MaxiSYS tablet to check setup against OEM specifications and document the results. These checks validate positioning measurements; successful calibration still depends on completing the vehicle-specific procedure.
  5. Does the MA800 cover every ADAS-equipped vehicle?
The MA800 platform supports more than 95% of domestic, Asian, and European ADAS-equipped vehicles when equipped appropriately. Confirm coverage for the exact vehicle and ADAS system, along with the required software, targets, and calibrators.
  6. Can I move the MA800 between bays or locations?
Yes. The four-piece frame assembles tool-free and breaks down in approximately 60 seconds for transport and storage. Fully assembled, the frame weighs 86.6 lb. Each calibration location must meet the applicable workspace requirements.
  7. How much space does the MA800 require?
The frame footprint is 25 inches wide by 24 inches deep, and its height is 54 inches. These are frame dimensions, not the calibration bay requirement. Working space and target placement depend on the vehicle’s OEM procedure.
  8. Who can help me choose the right MA800 package?
Contact Triad at 317-939-3690 or [email protected]. We can help you match the frame, tablet, software, and targets to your shop’s existing equipment and planned calibration work.
